Party Time with H2H...

This is my last post for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog...I have truly enjoyed the past umpteen years I've been a Design Team Member (and this was actually my second term). It's a sad time but I couldn't be happier with this week's challenge...PARTY TIME!!!

I chose to couple this challenge with a YouTube video (you can view the video down below), featuring the theme "Honey, I shrunk the layout"

Here's a look at my layout using the Party Time collection from CTMH as well as the Yellow Acrylic Stars and the Happy Birthday Acrylic Shapes. I love that this layout is using a WHOLE BUNCH of birthday stuff yet it's not a birthday layout at all. AND...the little dots in the corners and under the star-groupings are from the December SOTM - Happiness Never Grows Old...

THANK YOU SO MUCH for stopping by and supporting all my H2H posts over the years!

I hope you'll continue to follow the H2H Blog and play along with this week's challenge.

Trust the Lord with Blue Belle and H2H...

Welcome to NOVEMBER, full of pumpkins, changing of the leaves and HOPEFULLY cooler temperatures!

A new week also means a new Heart 2 Heart Challenge - this one featuring CTMH's Color of the Year - BLUE BELLE.

Let's take a look at my card, totally inspired by my weekend guest spot on the Craft Roulette show where the luck of the wheel determines the parameter of your project. Friday night, we spun the wheel and the following parameters were chosen:

* Project: Card featuring a heart
* Colors: Primary (neutrals are FREE)
* Element: Pumpkin
* Random: Sanding

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I started off with our Silver Polka Dot Paper from the Silver Foil Patterns Paper Packet then sponged Blue Belle Ink all over it using my Mini-Blending Tool...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a close-up of the Scandinavian Pumpkin stamp set I used (ONLY $3,95...such a GREAT price) and the sentiment from our NEW Trust in the Lord stamp set. For the Red part for my "primary colors" requirement, I used some red thread from my stash...
-------------------------------------------------
And...here's a look at the inside with the rest of the sentiment as well as the "sanded" part of my card...I brought all the primary colors to the inside of the card as well, using stamps from the Trust in the Lord stamp set (such a FABULOUS set to have)...

Thank you for stopping by!

Please head on over to the H2H Challenge Blog to see what the other DT Members came up with as well as PLAY ALONG with us! You have until the end of November 2020 to submit your project!

Not-So-Basic Black with H2H...

Here it is the last week of October and my mind has been pre-occupied with CHRISTMAS CARDS. Sooo, for the H2H Not-so-basic Black Challenge this week, I grabbed some things off my craft table and made this SPARKLY card featuring some not-so-basic Black Glitter Cardstock and our NEW Black Ore Cardstock!

Here's a look...

-------------------------------------------------------
I used the Layered Floral Background Thin Cuts for this card...LOVE IT!!! The top layer is the Pearl Ore Cardstock and that red peeking behind the layers as well as the "thanks" in the Thanks Thin Cuts is from the Comfort & Joy Paper Packet (retires at the end of this month so you'd better so grab it if Traditional Christmas paper is your thing). I had to back the "thanks" with something to make it stand out so I pulled out my trusty tissue paper that I use on my scrapbook layouts...it adds that perfect barrier between the sentiment and that GORGESOU background. I also added some Black Diamond Stickles to make it not-so-basic...

-------------------------------------------------------------------
And...you know how I love TO SAVE all the itty bitty pieces...well, in this case it paid off for the inside of this card...

Thank you for stopping by...head on over to my YouTube channel to watch this card come together REALLY QUICK and see how those Layered Floral Background Thin Cuts get layered on top of each other.

And don't forget to head on over to the H2H Challenge Blog to see what my other DT Members have to share for this week's challenge. You have until the end of October to join us by grabbing some of your favorite CTMH products to make a Not-so-Basic Black card or layout!

Got Candy? and Stencils - with H2H....

This week over on the H2H Challenge Blog, it's all about STENCILS!!!

CTMH has MANY STENCILS to choose from and you can even make your own using our Stencil Paper.

I chose to take one of our pre-made stencils and make this one-page layout using the Got Candy? Special...

---------------------------------------------------------
Here's a closeup of the stenciling. I took the Stencil Pack 3 and cut apart all the different squares (you can leave whole and use but I thought it would be more manageable to cut them apart since that's how I will probably be using them anyway). I laid it on my cardstock base then used my mini-blending tool to sponge Black Soot Distress Oxide ink all over.

Don't forget to head on over to the H2H Blog and see what the other DT Members have to share! You can play along with us, using stencils and at least one identifiable CTMH product before the end of October!

Fall Fun with H2H...

I'm the kind of girl that LOVES the Beach...24/7! But there's something about Fall that brings a SMILE to my face...it's almost like Mother Nature knows when I'm fed up with the Texas Heat and she brings me cooler weather, crisp air and pretty colors!

This week over on the H2H Challenge Blog, we are challenging you to show us FALL FUN!

I decided to make several cards using the Bloom With Grace PML Cards..they came together so quickly!

Here's a look...

If you want to make your own and need some assistance, I have a process video for you with links to everything you need to make your own...AND there's a surprise at the end of the video showing you how to make a "holder" for the cards!

Thanks for stopping by!

Don't forget to head on over to the H2H blog to see what the other DT Members created and to play along...you have until the end of October!

H2H Multi-Dimension Magic...

HAPPY MONDAY!!! The only things that make Mondays tolerable are:
  1. A Sunday FULL of mood-enhancing rest, relaxation and the Word.
  2. An 8:30 start time to my full-time job.
  3. H2H Challenges
This week's H2H Challenge is all about that Multi-Dimension Magic! If you're a follow of mine, you know I LOVE ME SOME DIMENSION!!!

Here's a look at what I decided to showcase...my NEW Scrapbooking Workshop Kit with Bloom With Grace..

--------------------------------------------------------
Here's a closeup - the leaf going up the right side of the photo place holder is a sticker from the Sticker Sheet and they are adhered directly onto my layout...the Sunflower Grouping is also from the Sticker Sheet but I took the sticky off with my Anti-Static Pouch and used 3D Foam Tape to pop it off the page....the wooden shapes are from the Bloom with Grace Wooden Shapes and those are adhered with Liquid Glass. They are little more dimensional that the 3D Foam Tape I used so there are 3 layers of various dimension in this one little corner...

Thanks for stopping by!

Check back here or my YouTube Channel for the THREE Bloom with Grace Scrapbooking Workshops I'm offering!

Don't forget to head on over to the H2H Challenge Blog to check out the other DT Members and what MULTI-DIMENSION MAGIC they have to share!

You Are - Photo Inspiration Challenge with H2H...

HAPPY MONDAY...make that the FIRST Monday in August!

Mondays mean a NEW H2H Challenge is this one is all about THIS photo...

Here's the card I made using similar colors, the 'splatter' at the top, sentiment at the bottom and image at the left side. I used the August SOTM - Floral Celebration and the Mix-In Collection...the sentiment is from the Always Loved stamp set (don't you just LOVE it)...

------------------------------------------------
Here are some closeups...I used the backside of one of the smaller flower images to shade the middle of the flower then used my Clear Shimmer Brush to add some SHINE...
--------------------------------------------------
The sentiment on the inside is also from the Always Loved stamp set...the little flowers are from the SOTM.

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you'll hop on over the H2H Challenge Blog and see what the other DT Members have to share. And...PLAY ALONG with us this month...you have until August 31st to link up your project using the photo above for inspiration!

You Make Good Times Better with Tags & H2H...

The H2H Team is challenging you to use TAGS on your projects and boy do I have a labor of love to share with you guys.

This layout came from an idea of using a repetitive shape to create a circle. I had a few tags from other projects on my craft table and then a light bulb went off...lol

Here's my labor of love...using the Tags and Tabs Thin Cuts, Mix-In, Aurora and Stitched Together papers and coordinating cardstocks...

--------------------------------------------------------
Here are some close-ups...
-----------------------------------------------
As you can see, I added some Stitched Hearts Thin Cuts to the layout using that ADORABLE Candy Apple patterned paper from the Stitched Together line...
-------------------------------------
And...isn't that title from the Stitched Together Sticker Sheet so fitting...

Thank you so much for stopping by! Here is a process video if you'd like to see how I glued all those tags down...lol

Don't forget to head on over to the H2H Challenge Blog and see what the other DT Members have to share and DON'T FORGET to join us by linking up your own TAG project before the end of June!

Somewhere over the rainbow with H2H...

Don't rainbows make you sooooo happy!!!! We are challenging you to use them in this week's H2H Challenge!

I have chosen to make several cards using the NEW promotional stamp sets that CTMH released to document the past 60 days and any going forward! While you might think these stamp sets are "just for layouts," I'd like to show you how they can be used on cards as well!

Here's a look at the first one...

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a closeup...
-----------------------------------------------------------
Here's the back of the envelope as well as the inside...
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a 2nd card using the sentiment from the 1st card plus an over-sized image...gotta LOVE that "trying not to go (TOO) crazy" sentiment...lol
--------------------------------------------------------
And, here's a peek at the inside! Wouldn't this card be PERFECT from some friends you're used to getting together with but now can't...

Thank you for stopping by...I hope you'll head on over to the H2H Challenge Blog and check out the other DT Members and what they created! Don't forget to play along with us!

Stripes with H2H...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK to me!!! I am going to embrace a quiet week with HOPEFULLY more crafting! I don't know about you but I've been IN MY CRAFT ROOM non-stop since all the extra-curricular activities of the kids has ceased.

In fact...I played in my craft room this weekend and knocked out this FUN layout for the STRIPES Challenge over on the H2H Challenge Blog. Let's take a look and see if you can catch the sneak peeks...

I used the Mix-Ins (retires April 30th) as well as some left-overs from some Cricut projects I worked on this weekend (I just LOVE it when I can use up scraps...don't you!)...

-------------------------------------------------
Here are some closeups...not only did I used some STRIPED UV-Coated Cardstock, I also used the left-over Cricut cuts to resemble STRIPES...and then there's the JOURNALING STRIPES...
--------------------------------------------------
Check out the doodling on the inside of the flowers...I think it adds that little extra something for this FUN layout, don't you...
-------------------------------------------------
The splatters are from my Sapphire Shimmer Brush and I FINALLY remembered to do it before I got everything else adhered down. If you watch any of my YouTube videos, you know what I'm talking about...lol

THANK YOU so much for stopping by!

Don't forget to check back RIGHT HERE (and everywhere you can find me on social media) on May 1st to see this FUN new line from CTMH REVEALED!

Pet-Pourri with H2H...

HAPPY MONDAY!!! I know it may seem like all the days are running together but I feel it's my duty to keep you guys informed of what day of the week it is...lol.

Like TODAY is where the H2H Challenges Blog brings you another challenge to create with and this week's challenge is PET-POURRI!!!

I decided to play with the Seas the Day Cardmaking Kit because the little "pets" in this stamp set are ADORABLE!

Here's a look at the card...I used a FUN kissing technique with my stamps for this card. The Workshop instructions tell you how to do it so it's SUPER SIMPLE and adds that extra special something...
----------------------------------------------
I cut the crab out from 3 different patterns of B&T that come with the Seas the Day Paper Packet. Then I used the negative piece left over from cutting this cute little crab out using the Thin Cuts that come with the Card Kit. AND, now I still have all the cute little crabs cut out that I can use on other projects!
------------------------------------------
I decorated the inside with scraps of paper from the Seas The Day Paper Packet...

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you'll head on over to the H2H Challenges Blog and see what the other DT Members created as well as PLAY ALONG with us...you have until the end of April to show us your Pet-Pourri projects!

Color Challenge with H2H...

Heart 2 Heart Challenges has a NEW challenge this week and it's all about some Spring colors: Julep, Canary, Pixie and Lagoon...

Here's a look at a card I made featuring these colors as well as some Thin Cuts, These Are My People Paper and Stamp Set...

----------------------------------
Here's a closeup of the Julep flowers and glitter gems (I feel like this color gets a little lost against that bright, cheerful Lagoon!)...the Lagoon Paper comes from the Mix-Ins from a couple of catalogs ago but it might still be available in the ONLINE ONLY section of my website...

Thinking of You with a Vintage feel...

It's another Monday which means the girls over on the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog have a NEW Challenge for you and this week's challenge is...

I made this card using the Yesterday & Today line from CTMH as well as the You Make Me Happy Operation Smile stamp set...
 ---------------------------------------
I took the Thin Cut frame from the Yesterday & Today Scrapbooking Stamp Set and dry-embossed it using my die cut machine (the method of doing this will vary depending on which diecut machine you own). After I got the raised embossed image, I took a sanding block and lightly sanded over the raised parts, creating this end result...

Thank you for stopping by!

I hope you'll head on over to the H2H Challenge Blog and see what the other DT Members created. And, I hope you'll play along with us and this VINTAGE FEEL challenge!
