Ribbon Pocket Card...

Over the weekend, I shared a reel showing how easy this card comes together. I'm also offering the measurements for this card as a free digital download when you sign up for my newsletter. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP!
...
Now...let's talk about this card. It's an A2 Size Card with a fun little pocket created by scoring and tying some ribbon around the panel (hence the name - Ribbon Pocket Card)...

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's the card with a gift card and some bling in the pocket...

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a look at the inside of the card with a hand-stamped panel just big enough to write a personalized message but small enough that the message won't show when the card is closed...

I used the following Stampin' Up! products but with the FREE Digital Download you can use any papers and stamps in your stash to recreate this adorable card.

Don't forget to sign up for my newsletter and head on over to IG and check out the reel of this cute little card coming together...so FUN to make (and to receive, I'm sure).

Enjoy the Ride & Flowering Zinnias...

This week....well last week, actually, but I'm just now catching up from being gone....we have the BEST of both stamping worlds.

CTMH - Enjoy the Ride and Stampin' Up! - Flowering Zinnias

Remember when I mentioned that Stampin' Up! was able to purchase some CTMH Product lines that were already in production...well, this is the first of several that will be released.

Enjoy the Ride is a perfect Summery collection and while some things old out almost immediately, there are still several things left. Click on the photo to go directly to my website to see the entire collection and products that are still available.

I don't know about you, but I have a LOT of photos of my kids learning to ride their bikes...and that red gingham pattern...LOVE!!! Head on over to my website to shop the Enjoy the Ride Collection before it's gone.
.......................................................................................................
Now, let's talk Stampin' Up! and the products I chose to create with first....

My very first workshop is using the GORGEOUS Flowering Zinnias...it makes a two-page layout and 3 cards (you can definitely make double). When you purchase the products on my website, I will email you the instructional guide...how fun is that!?!

Here's a look at what you'll need to complete the projects:
I have created since this workshop with some other products...I even did an unboxing of my Stampin' Up! Starter Kit. You can see both videos over on YouTube

Weekly (Monthly) Recap...

Well, well....it's been quite a while since my last blog post and if you follow me on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube, you're probably well aware of the absence and the reasoning.

For those of you who don't (head on over and follow) here's a brief summary of the creative portion of my life the past few months.

February - CTMH (the papercrafting company I've been a Consultant for for 22 years) announced that they would be closing and potentially selling some of their product lines to a much larger competitor in the stamping world. You can watch my reaction to this news {{{{here}}}}.

What ensued over the next couple of months was nothing short of chaos....products flying out the door (I mean who wouldn't want to stock up on HIGH QUALITY papercrafting supplies), backed up shipping, the end looming.

We, as CTMH Makers, also had to come to terms with where would we go next. Stampin' Up! was offering us a golden parachute and purchasing some of our product lines that were already in production. Creative Memories was also offering a place to call home. Leaders from CTMH were scalping other team members to shore up their position at whichever company they would choose. When I say it was awful, it was AWFUL. I usually stay away from situations that give me anxiety but this I could not. It reminded me of when my cousin was on Survivor (The Australian Outback, All-Stars, and Heroes vs Villains - he was on Team Heroes)...I couldn't watch all the backstabbing, lying, opportunistic acts of humanity. Only the strong survived (no pun intended).

The good thing about writing this now is that hindsight is AMAZING. The dust has settled, friends have been lost, friends have been gained, and we are all better for it.

My CTMH Website closed April 30th and my Stampin' Up! website went live May 1st (in a matter of 60 seconds between the two, literally). I have had a chance to play with the wonderful Stampin' Up! products and look forward to putting my spin on them.

Last week, I met some of my closest friends in this creative journey...the CREATIVE DESIGN TEAM. I had the pleasure of teaching at various CTMH Events with a couple of them but some I was meeting in person for the very first time. I can tell you that our week was full of laughs, talks, strategizing, even some tears (mainly from me and all the hiking we did...lol). It filled up my emotional bucket in more than ways than one.

I can't wait for our next adventure...and keep an eye out for all the things we put into motion during this trip. I think y'all will LOVE IT!

To end this update post, let's talk about Stampin' Up! workshops and projects. Tomorrow I will post a peek at the CTMH Products that are now being offered at Stampin' Up! as well as my very first Stampin' Up! Workshop so stay tuned!

Love Notes - Mini Envelope Card & a TriFold Card...

shared from ctmh's blog...

Love Notes with Mini Envelopes and a Trifold Card!

Love Notes #ctmhlovenotes #ctmh #closetomyheart #valentinesdaycard #lovecards #lovenotes #valentines #trifoldcard #envelopecard

Fall in love this Valentine’s Day with Love Notes, one of our newest and sweetest paper collections for the new year! Featuring a variety of beautiful and endearing designs throughout the collection’s coordinating papercrafting products, Love Notes is sure to impress and make your favorite people feel even more special!

Love Notes #ctmhlovenotes #ctmh #closetomyheart #valentinesdaycard #lovecards #lovenotes #valentines #trifoldcard #envelopecard #scrapbookinglove #lovescrapbook

In addition to the collection of products, we’ve put together two workshops to get you going on ideas to create beautiful artwork. The scrapbooking workshop makes three darling, two-page 12″ x 12″ layouts. The free, downloadable guide is available on our website, here. Make sure to check out pictures of all three layouts along with the guide, as well as the discounted product bundle we’ve assembled for the workshop kit! Also on our website, you will see any additional supplies you may need to complete the scrapbook pages. (These are basic items that many of our returning crafters already have on hand, like ink pads, scissors, and mounting blocks for our stamps.)

As great as the scrapbooking workshop is, today, we are focusing our attention on celebrating relationships through the “beary sweet!” Love Notes cardmaking workshop!

Love Notes #ctmhlovenotes #ctmh #closetomyheart #valentinesdaycard #lovecards #lovenotes #valentines #trifoldcard #envelopecard

The Love Notes cardmaking workshop makes 16 cards, four each of four unique designs. (The free guide for this workshop can be downloaded off our website, here!)

This cardmaking workshop is full of art-elevating techniques. Let’s take a good look at two of the cards.

One of the workshop cards has a special way of opening! From the front, it looks like an ordinary card, but when you go to open it, you’ll realize that it is a trifold!

Creating this pleated front is quite easy to achieve, too!

Love Notes #ctmhlovenotes #ctmh #closetomyheart #valentinesdaycard #lovecards #lovenotes #valentines #trifoldcard #envelopecard

In this instance, we simply folded the card front in half, towards the front. You can measure it and use a bone folder paired with the trough of a paper trimmer, or just fold it in half like you would any other paper (there’s no need to complicate things!).

Once the card base is folded, cover the inside of the card with a soft patterned piece of paper and stamp a lovely sentiment on top. Any part of the sentiment that can be seen when the card is folded closed, cover with an accent on the front, like our stacked cardstock squares and stamped heart. Complete the look with a few puffy stickers, placing a couple that can be seen when the card is closed and a sneaky one hiding inside, to be found after opening the card!

This second card uses the envelope die that is part of the Love Notes Stamp + Thin Cuts set.

Love Notes #ctmhlovenotes #ctmh #closetomyheart #valentinesdaycard #lovecards #lovenotes #valentines #trifoldcard #envelopecard

The envelope die will not only cut the paper for a 3″ x 2¼” envelope, but it scores it, too!

Love Notes #ctmhlovenotes #ctmh #closetomyheart #valentinesdaycard #lovecards #lovenotes #valentines #trifoldcard #envelopecard

There is no guesswork required when folding this little guy! Do note, that if you are using one of our two-toned cardstock sheets, whichever side is facing the die will end up being the inside of the envelope. So, die cut intentionally, if you’ve got a certain look in mind. (We cut our cardstock with the light side facing the die, so the true color is on the outside and the lighter tone is on the inside.)

Love Notes #ctmhlovenotes #ctmh #closetomyheart #valentinesdaycard #lovecards #lovenotes #valentines #trifoldcard #envelopecard

Once you’ve got this envelope-making skill down, a sweet card like this one comes together in a cinch! When assembling the mini envelope and note, you can choose to glue the note inside the envelope to make sure it stays put, or not. This die does make a functional envelope. When using it for cards or other projects, consider making the inside note a loose note, one that isn’t glued on and that can be pulled out for more, personalized sentiments! (Maybe even add a photo or other memento behind the note!)

Valentine’s Day is for celebrating relationships, and as a love note from us to you, we are giving away five Love Notes Stamp + Thin Cuts sets to five lucky readers! Make sure you are subscribed to this blog and share this post on Facebook, using the link below, for a chance to win! All winners will chosen by noon on Monday, January 22 (MST) and will be notified via e-mail. Good luck!! 💌
