Love you Latte....

This is a little gift my sister and I gave to my uncle a few weeks ago.  He loves the dark chocolate covered coffee beans from HEB.  If you haven't tried them, you have to!!!  The firs one tastes like dirt so you really need to eat at lease 3 to get hooked.  I warn you...they're about $11 a pound so eat with care!

I got the idea from the very talented <<<<LAUREL>>>>!!!

All supplies are CTMH except as otherwise noted:
Cardstock: Flesh Tones (discontinued) and Colonial White
Rub-ons: _______Connection Club Rewards
Tag: Tag Die-cuts (discontinued)
Ribbon: Cocoa Grosgrain
Crimper
Coffee Beans: HEB Grocery Store

VICTORY!!!

CFC won last night against Midland with a score of 20-14!!! Here are some pictures of my baby all decked out in Orange (who would've thought that I'd come to love ORANGE??) He's #1...no really, his jersey is No. 1 :0) You can click on the picture to enlarge!!
----------------------------------------------------
That's my baby running in between the offensive line and the quarterback (some sort of sneak something or other...lol)

This is my baby's backside as cornerback (defense).....
Cornerback again........

Getting ready to make a tackle (or at least help with one)....
His blocking skills.....

Not sure what he's doing here....

Cathching a pass (he's to the left of the ref at the top of the picture).....

Kicking an extra point (he missed but it was close - so close that the stands thought it was in
but the ref said otherwise)....

Talking to his team before a kickoff.....

Waiting to see what the offense is going to do so he can know where to set up on defense....

Way to go CATS!!!!!

I still haven't figured out my new camera and couldn't find the "night" button so the pictures aren't that great!!

No more "wisdom"....

TEETH that is....I got my last wisdom tooth cut out on Tuesday and it's been hard on this "not so young" woman!!! I'm still a little sore but I'm starting to eat normal foods, just chewing on the good side....sometimes I forget and it kills me, to say the least.

----------------------------------------
I've decided to post the rest of the birthday party pictures since I haven't been creating!!
--------------------------------------
I made the cupcakes to resemble Elmo (got the idea <<<<here>>>>). I originally used a cupcake tree but the cupcakes were too tall so I had to move them to flat tray before all was said and done.

Here's a closeup....
Here's the goodie bags (it was a small party...lol)
We also had an ice cream sundae party.....the attendees could choose chocolate, cake batter and/or strawberry ice cream and they could pile on any or all of the following: fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, oreo cookies, reese's, m&m's, sprinkles and chocolate syrup.
Here's big brother smiling over his bowl of SUGAR!!!!
Here's the birthday boy getting ready to blow out the 2 candles and eat his cupcake...

Here's the opening presents part....I don't think he smiled the entire time while opening presents!!
-----------------------------------
Granma and TK.....

Opening, what I think every 2-year old gets for their birthday....a POTTY!!!!

Preparing to take his clothes off to "use" the potty.....(yeah, right!!!)
There goes the diaper.....

He put on a good show which is usually unlike him but all attendees got a good laugh and Poppy got some EXCELLENT black-mail footage for later!!!
Thanks to all of the following: Grammy, Nini, Tees, Poppy, Granma, Mas, JHW, CJW, DD, KT, and Aunt Annelle and Uncle Jimmy!! Thank you for your well-wishes and your presents!!!

My baby is TWO!!!!

My baby is TWO today and we had his party this weekend. Here is a "cupcake-face" shot and I will post more pictures later. If I would've thought more about the red icing, I might have used white instead so he would've been able to keep his cute clothes on instead of de-robing and all his pictures being without a shirt....oh well!!!

Thursday Night Football....

This year my "baby" is at the 'Freshman Campus' and is playing football. Thursday night was his first home game and the first time I've been able to see him play. The weather was excellent....clouds hung over but it never rained (it did start thundering late in the 4th quarter).

--------------------------------------------

Key got to play most of the game....he's cornerback (defense), wide receiver (offense) and kicker. It was so nice to hear all the parents around us (they didn't know that we were Key's parents), even the visiting team, comment on the "kid with the yellow shoes" being so good....never leaving the field....very athletic, etc. (I WAS GRINNING REALLY BIG by now). My proudest moment was (keep in mind that he's a full-time select soccer player as well) 4th down - 15 yards to go to get a 1st down and coach tells him to kick a field-goal. They are 30 yds out and the end zone is 10 yds so that's a 40-yard kick!!! The man behind us that couldn't manage to be quite the whole game started doubting coach's decision and everyone around us was saying that there was no way a kid this age could make it work. The ball was snapped, my baby kicked and it sailed 10 yds...then another 10....then yet another 10...until it reached the goal post and hit the top of the bottom cross-hair and bounced out....BUMMER!!!! the whole stands...even the visiting teamed cheered the "kid with the yellow shoes". I was so proud that he got it there!!! I can't wait 'till he plays again!!!

My niece and my sister at CJW's birthday party....

One of my presents to my niece....these letters measure about 7" - 8" and are for her wall (you'll have to excuse the plastic table cloth as the backdrop). I used Bella pp and Fancy Cut Botanicals.

This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!
------------------------------------
I just LOVE 6"x6" cards and this is no different!!! I used a lot of edge distressing, paper tearing (which sometimes 'just happens' when you edge distress with B&T) and ink distressing! I hope you like...

Here is a view of the dimension of the front and a peak at the inside of the card....The center of the flower is a circle cut from one of the B&T papers included in Twitterpated paper packet (one of my NEW favorites!!!). A 3-D Foam Square was a little too much dimension so I just cut several circles (5, I think) and layered them on top of each other...I've been doing to this A LOT to add dimension...it's a GREAT way to use up those scraps!!!

The inside of the card....

All products used are CTMH:
Paper Packet: NEW Twitterpated
Stamp Set: Treasures (September SOTM)
Inks: Sorbet, Chocolate, Crystal Blue & Creme Brulee
Circle Coluzzle (no longer avaialable through CTMH)

-------------------------------------
I have another sample below with TONS of 'how-to' pictures so if you want to continue hopping...

Bend stem stamp to get tree branches....

Stamp the tree-top....

I used Twitterpated pp again and this time used Sweet Leaf in addition to the other inks!!!
