Going Green....

Everyone seems to be doing it, talking about it, blogging about it and now scrapbookers can do their part!!! Go over to Mellisa's Blog and see the CUTEST boxes made from old ribbon spools!!! Plus she's giving away some pretty awesome stuff to celebrate her blogaversary!!!
Now I'm off to scope out my stash of "reusables" and see what I can come up with!!!
I’m so excited about the upcoming August Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. There are 64 (!!!) CTMH Consultants participating! Check in at Jena's Blog on August 1st - this will be the starting point for the blog hop, but don't worry, if you start somewhere else, you'll still make it all the way around!

In order to make the hop run smoothly, I’m testing out links to Amy's Blog, she’ll be the one that you’ll jump to after mine. You'll be coming from Melissa's Blog to make a full circle in the hop. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with - I hope you'll hop with us!

If you missed any of my artowrk for past SOTMs, you can check them out by clicking on the links below.

Back Country Workshop

Below are the 4 layouts we did this month using Back Country pp and an idea from fellow consultant, Tresa Black (click <<<here>>> to view her video...BRILLIANT!!!).

This is a picture of all four layouts as they would appear in an album.....

This is Layout #1....we also used Dimensional Elements in Color - Adventure which very versatile...especially these little "dials" which let you point to whichever sentiment fits your layout best! Here, my dial is pointed West and it reads Wildlife Encounter (each sentiment begins with W, E, N or S for the directions....cool, huh?!?!). I also have an arrow at the bottom pointing to the next picture in the sequence which can be found on Layout #2 (helped the flow of the layouts). You can view the journalling at the end of this post!

Journalling reads: "This day was supposed to be a work day...but somehow you two turned it into a play day complete with shooting the bb-guns and playing in the sprinkler to cool off. I think, to satisfy Grammy, work was actually done at some point...you picked up sticks and rocks around the yard, you swept the leaves off the patio and you even managed to help with bug-control by finding grasshoppers. Looking at you both in these pictures, a stranger would think you were a bunch of city boys but I know you have some country somewhere in you!!!"
This is Layout #2 that can be viewed under Layouts #3 & #4....
This is Layouts #3 & #4 which are actually 9" x 9" and are attached to the back of Layout #2 as a flip book...best part is that I didn't have to cut the page protector. Shhhh...I still need to add journalling on these pages!
This is a view Layouts #3 & #4 lifted....

Thinking of someone who needs our prayers....

I have a friend that needed a little note to let her know that I was thinking of her and her family and this is what I came up with. If you are reading this, please say a little prayer for "Katy's friend and her family" that God will give them strength in the upcoming months....He will know who you're talking about!
