#tbt CTMH Style {24}...

I'm throwing it back to a couple of cards made about 5 years ago, I think...they were for my color class I taught at the CTMH Convention.

---------------------------------------
I used a hot air balloon for the petals of this flower on this one...

Thanks for stopping by for this week's #tbt...

#tbt CTMH Style {23}...

In the world before Pinterest, it was quite difficult to find inspiration outside of subscribing to all the latest and greatest magazines but who has time for that!

For this #tbt post, I'm taking it back to 2010 - CTMH Convention in Washington DC. I applied to teach a class on distressing but CTMH asked me to do a color class instead...I happily agreed!!!

So...I went to work on trying to explain where I got my inspiration from.

One of the most powerful examples I had in my class was this sock display...

As you can see below, some of the cards were made using inspiration from the color of the socks...some the pattern...some the details and some have a little of all kinds of inspiration!

Here are some close-ups...

-----------------------------------------------
Here's a look at some of my other projects (you've probably seen some of them in my previous #tbt posts)...mine are the bottom 3...feel free to click on any photo to see a larger version.

#tbt CTMH Style...

Time to start back up on the #tbt CTMH Style now that Christmas is over...

I'll be featuring Valentine-themed projects for the next month or so to get you guys and gals in the mood for all that sweet, love-making in the papercrafting world!

Here's a throwback from two years ago...little gifts made for the girls at my mom's office (she loves giving gifts and while she's perfectly capable of making them herself, I enjoy helping her out!)

Please take a second to check out the original post so you can see all the details!

Merry Christmas Tin - #tbt CTMH Style...

I'm throwing it back several years...can't even remember when these were made!

-----------------------------------------------
All the cards were made from a Kit offered by CTMH...no stamping required! I jazzed up some of the cards with a little sparkle and embossing here and there!

#tbt CTMH Style - NOTE pad...

#tbt to 2009 or 2010...can't remember...I made this NOTE pad for my application to teach at one of the CTMH Conventions...

I love the look of the doodling around each Dimensional Element Letter...I'm gonna have to incorporate that into some more projects!

#tbt Kinda CTMH Style...

Welcome to another addition of #tbt CTMH Style...I put "kinda" CTMH Style because this only  has a few things using CTMH...see if you can spot them!

If you're not from Texas, you'll probably have no idea what this is I'm about to show you...

Here in Texas, for Homecoming, we make what are called "mums" for the ladies and "garters" for the guys!  You can either purchase them (if you're not the crafty type) or make your own...the guy is responsible for giving the girl the mum and the girl buys the garter for the guy.

Of course, you know I elected to MAKE mine!

This is the one I made for my oldest son's girlfriend his Senior Year...

------------------------------------------------
Here's a close-up after I added some stuff...It's usually "the bigger the better" but I do think there is a limit...google Homecoming Mums and check out what "gaudy" really means!!!....lol
---------------------------------------------------
And this is a picture of his girlfriend (second one from the right) wearing the mum and cheering him on at the game...they're no longer together but I often wonder if she trashed the mum I spent hours making or if she saved it?!?!  I still have ALL of mine from High School...they're in boxes and I will probably never do anything with them but they're fun to look at and see what the trends were at that time!

#tbt CTMH Style - Eek, Shriek & Be Scary...

Since I'm in a Halloween mood, I decided to share this card made last year...

I layered all the bats on a cardstock base in the CCR then cut.  The card base is Black Glitter Paper...adds a shimmery touch!

----------------------------------------------
Hopefully you can see the shimmer of the glitter paper in the photo below...
---------------------------------------------------
And here is a top view showing a peek into the inside of the card...
