You girls and guys are gonna LOVE this month's SOTM!!!  The typography subway signs are so TRENDY right  now and in true CTMH fashion, we have a SOTM that will blow your mind!

I told you!!!  The best thing is that these images are pretty large so they can easily fit on a scrapbook layout without being lost on the page or on a card (like you'll see below) and be the focal point!

If you've been hopping for a while, you should've come from Kami's Blog.  If not, never fear....just keep on hopping from here and you'll make your way around all 35+ blogs!

Here's a SUPER SIMPLE 5x7 card I made combining several paper packets using colors inspired by this week's H2H Color Challenge: Laughing Lola, Babycakes & Huntington and this week's Freshly Made Sketches!

Here's a close-up of the dimension...

Sleigh Bells Ring...

You're singing, aren't you!?!

That song has such a ring to it...it brings about the feelings of mittens, scarves, hot cocoa, snow-covered trees and the NEW CTMH Artbooking Cartridge!  What....you don't think about Artbooking when you sing that song?  Do you think about H2H Challenges?  I do...
This week over at H2H, we are challenging you to create something "musical"...I hope you check out what the other DT members did with the challenge...maybe you'll gain some inspiration from it!
Here's what I did this week using the NEW Frosted Paper Packet...
--------------------------
here is a close-up of the "musical" part...I decided not to put all the words to the song, because 1) it wouldn't fit very well (I mean, don't all scrapbookers fudge things sometimes for the "look" of it!?!)...and 2) we all know the words
------------------------------
------------------------------
I used Kraft Keyboard Alphabet to put the date on the layout...used my Legacy Writers (they are in the "WHILE SUPPLIES LAST" bin for only $9...what a deal! I use mine ALL...THE...TIME!)  for the hand-drawn stitching...
-------------------------------
Want to know what this cute little chevron B&T is...
------------------------------
you guessed it...a hidden journaling card

I hope you guys like it!  Now...go turn your radio on, snap your fingers, hum a little tune and get to creating!

Don't forget to link up your projects before the end of the month!

Here are the keys I used...

The "s-key" is just to show you how I spelled out everything OTHER THAN "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" which is its own key...

--------------------------------------
I resized the photo mat to 5 x 5-1/2 and the square overlay to 5 x 5 - did this in CCR for ease

Week #3 - Artbooking in August...

Welcome to the 3rd Week of Artbooking in August...you know the drill if you've been hopping with us since Week #1...if you're new to this hop, you're in for a REAL SURPRISE!!!
You should be coming over from Sarah's Blog...if you're not, never fear...keep hopping using the link at the end of the post and you'll make you're way through the entire thing!
I have been going in order...Week #1 - Layout...Week #2 - Card...Week #3 - supposed to be a mini-book but I'm rebelling and sharing my home décor item this week!  This was one of the items I made for my display board swap using Frosted!  I love how it turned out and have been patiently saving it for this week!

-------------------------------------
What makes this home décor item special are the layers!  I cut this 6 times from Colonial White Cardstock and once with the Frosted B&T...that's 7 layers....I sandwiched the snowflake border in between the 2nd and 3rd layer for dimension...I hope you can see the 'thickness' in the picture below...

You next stop is the wonderfully TALENTED Amy Ulen...head over there now to see what she has to share!

Here is the key I used...dial set to 11" just like the layout suggests!

NEW Product Blog Hop...

I hope all of you have been eagerly looking over the NEW Idea Book writing down your wish list because it's ALL FABULOUS!!!

I've teamed up with some other talented consultants to help you hop through the Idea Book and see what we've been able to create with some of the NEW PRODUCTS!

If you've come from Misty's Blog, you're on the right track...keep on hoppin' around 'till you get back to where you started!

I did a swap using our NEW Frosted Paper Packet.  While most of my projects haven't been snow related, I'm in a "frosty" mood and decided to use it as the paper packet is intended.  And...in case you haven't heard, WE HAVE A NEW Cricut Cartridge!  It's called ARTBOOKING and I'm in {{{love}}} with it!!!
Here's what I did...
It's a standard-size card...using one of our Treat Cups to make a snow scene.  The trees are cut from the Huntington Paper Packet.

----------------------------------
here are some close-ups...

--------------------------------
and here's the inside which you saw a peek of above...I mimicked the cut out on the front
-------------------------------
I did all my cutting using the Cricut Craft Room (CCR) AND I saved my file!!!  If you want it, click {{{{HERE}}}}...you have to create/have a Box account but it's FREE and how I'll be sharing my CCR files from now on so you might as well get one!

REMEMBER: You have to have the NEW Artbooking Cartridge to access the file.

If you don't have it and want it, you can order it here!!!

Bon Voyage with H2H...

Today we are dedicating this challenge to our newest members of the Close to my Heart sisterhood, the new consultants in Australia and New Zealand. We wish you all buckets of creativity and a joyous start on your new adventure as Close to my Heart consultants and want to give you a warm welcome and invitation to participate in our challenges!
For this week's Bon Voyage challenge create a project that reflects your interpretation of "good journey".
My mom leaves today for a trip to Portugal, Spain & France.  She LOVES to travel and usually takes one of these trips every other year or so.  I usually make her some sort of note-taking device where she can write down where she was that day, stick in flyers, receipts, etc. and jot down any notes that she wants to remember.  For this trip, I made her this mini-album using For Always Paper Packet and  CTMH's new Artbooking Cricut Collection.

Here's the cover...cut using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge in my CCR (Cricut Craft Room is FREE and is a WONDERFUL tool if you want to do funky things with your images like this....)

Here are some of the pages...

------------------------------------
For the page below, I used one of the overlays from the NEW Artbooking Cartridge...resized it to fit on a 3-1/2" area and cut multiple ones (one for the top and one for the bottom)...added a piece of Ruby Cardstock to hide the gap and some of our NEW Washi Tape!
Don't forget to save all those little pieces...they come in handy for other projects!
---------------------------------------
Here are the pocket pages for receipts, flyers, etc....

-------------------------
I love these Keyboard Kraft Alphabet stickers....one of my FAVES!!!

-----------------------------------
and remember those little pieces I saved from the overlay...here's a cute little airplane as an accent to this pocket!

I hope you enjoyed my vision of "Bon Voyage" and I hope you play along with us this week.
Don't forget to visit the other DT Members and see what they've come up with!

Week #1 - Artbooking in August...

Welcome to the first week of a month FULL OF ARTBOOKING!!!  Each week, we are going to be showing you the FABULOUS things you can do with the NEW Cartridge...and you're gonna LOVE it!  This week is all about LAYOUTS!!!

If you've come from Sarah's Blog, you're on the right track...keep on hopping 'till you get back around to where you started!

I used our NEW Frosted Paper Packet for this project and I {{{heart}}} it!!!  Living in West Texas, we don't get a whole lot of snow which is what the paper packet is geared toward but it also has the soft colors that are so prominent in shabby chic project which is what I was going for!

Although I've done more non-scrapbook layouts with the cartridge than I have the traditional scrapbook pages, I've decided to start the month off with this project.  It's very dear to my heart!  As every scrapbooker knows, we rarely get in the pictures.  Aside from the picture of me with my husband, these were all taken in the last 4 months as part of my "be in the picture" campaign...lol

Here are some close-ups...

I used 3-D Foam tape to add some dimension to these littler photos!

Your next stop is Amy's Blog and I know she'll have some FABULOUS new product to show you...she always does!!!
