Floral Happiness Blog Hop...

You know...one of the things I like about February is that it's a short month and paydays are closer together!  One of the things I don't like about February is that it's a short month and TIME FLIES BY!!!

When I looked at my calendar and realized that the February SOTM Blog Hop was only a day away, I began freaking out!  But...I 'perform' better with deadlines and with challenges...this stamp set was definitely a challenge for me because I'm not a really flowery person...and definitely not a rose person!  I had seen some things online (Pinterest and other Consultants' blogs) that inspired me so I did another "10-minute Challenge".  I didn't complete the card in less than 10 minutes but it was pretty close!

If you've come from Vicki's Blog you're on the right track and I'm sure you've seen some pretty awesome artwork so far!

Here's a look at what Floral Happiness looks like...

Here's some artwork the CTMH Art Department has done with it...

Here's what I did with it...This is my favorite card size (4" x 5-1/2") because I hoard like 12x12 Cardstock and with one of the sides of this card being 4" instead of 4-1/4", I can get 3 cards from one sheet of cardstock!

Here are some close-ups...

And here's the inside...

I raised the inside sentiment just a little using one of my FAVORITE TECHNIQUES!!!

Take a bunch of scrap cardstock lying around...

Cut thin strips that will NOT SHOW behind the focal point...

Glue all the strips to each other and then to the back of the sentiment...

Then glue on...it's pop-dotted but not as thick as 3D Foam Tape which is PERFECT for insides of cards!

I found inspiration for this card **HERE**

Here's a look at another card I'm working on...got the inspiration from a fellow consultant, Wendy Coffman (never thought of using grays and blacks 'till I saw her card!)

I also chose to keep it CAS to go along with the H2H Challenge this week.  Head over there to link your CAS card up and check out what other H2H peeps are making!
