Stripes with H2H...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK to me!!! I am going to embrace a quiet week with HOPEFULLY more crafting! I don't know about you but I've been IN MY CRAFT ROOM non-stop since all the extra-curricular activities of the kids has ceased. 

In fact...I played in my craft room this weekend and knocked out this FUN layout for the STRIPES Challenge over on the H2H Challenge Blog. Let's take a look and see if you can catch the sneak peeks...

I used the Mix-Ins (retires April 30th) as well as some left-overs from some Cricut projects I worked on this weekend (I just LOVE it when I can use up scraps...don't you!)...

Here are some closeups...not only did I used some STRIPED UV-Coated Cardstock, I also used the left-over Cricut cuts to resemble STRIPES...and then there's the JOURNALING STRIPES...

Check out the doodling on the inside of the flowers...I think it adds that little extra something for this FUN layout, don't you...

The splatters are from my Sapphire Shimmer Brush and I FINALLY remembered to do it before I got everything else adhered down. If you watch any of my YouTube videos, you know what I'm talking about...lol

Everyday Life & Blue Skies...

I played with the Everyday Life key from the Everyday Moments Cricut Collection again and this time I used a NEW product line that will debut May 1st!

If you recall, I used this Cricut key last week to make these layouts...this time I took it a whole other direction and made some BEAUTIFUL rainbow patterns with the overlay and the Blue Skies product line!

Technique Blog Hop - Heat it Up...

It's HUMP DAY so let's heat up the rest of the week so it'll go by FAST, don't you think!

So this first card was using Versa Mark and Clear Embossing Powder. To color the images, I used ink and sponge daubers. LOVE how the white from the clear embossing shows through...

Everyday Life with Everyday Moments...

Pet-Pourri with H2H...

HAPPY MONDAY!!! I know it may seem like all the days are running together but I feel it's my duty to keep you guys informed of what day of the week it is...lol.

Like TODAY is where the H2H Challenges Blog brings you another challenge to create with and this week's challenge is PET-POURRI!!! 

I decided to play with the Seas the Day Cardmaking Kit because the little "pets" in this stamp set are ADORABLE!

Here's a look at the card...I used a FUN kissing technique with my stamps for this card. The Workshop instructions tell you how to do it so it's SUPER SIMPLE and adds that extra special something...

I cut the crab out from 3 different patterns of B&T that come with the Seas the Day Paper Packet. Then I used the negative piece left over from cutting this cute little crab out using the Thin Cuts that come with the Card Kit. AND, now I still have all the cute little crabs cut out that I can use on other projects!

I decorated the inside with scraps of paper from the Seas The Day Paper Packet...

HAPPY EASTER, everyone!!!

I have enjoyed hanging with my peeps (pun intended...lol) and so glad we are bringing you FABULOUS artwork using the These Are My People SPECIAL. It's a small hop so it won't take you long to hop around (pun intended again...lol) and see all the WONDERFUL artwork!

FREE Let’s Stay Home SVGs!

Over the last few weeks the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically reshaped many of our lives. A lot of us are working from home, our children are dismissed from school, shops and stores we customarily frequent are either closed or understocked, and even a lot of outdoor venues, such as parks and playgrounds, are also off limits. As a society, we have had to pull ourselves together and come up with creative ways to continue doing the things that need to get done and to live life.

At Close To My Heart, we are committed to helping the storyteller in you share and preserve all of your new and unique experiences. Late last month, we created and released the Let’s Stay Home stamp set, which reflects these strange and unparallel times.

In the video below, you will see how some of our Home Office friends used the Let’s Stay Home stamp set to create engaging scrapbook pages reflecting how the lives of their families have been impacted by our current events.

As this “alone together” journey continues, we’ve designed two Let’s Stay Home coordinating SVG images that you can download FREE for use with your favorite design software.
