This Moment SOTM Blog Hop...

Welcome to a NEW YEAR and a new SOTM!!! We're showcasing the January SOTM, In This Moment and it's CUTE!!!

If you've come from Lauren's Blog, you're on the right track...keep hopping around 'till you get back to where you started!

I decided to use this week's MOJO Monday Sketch for my card...coupled with Heart Strings Paper Packet and accessories from CTMH's Seasonal Expressions, this would make the perfect card for your special someone!
------------------------------------------------
Here a close-up...
--------------------------------------------------
And a peek at the inside...

I have a mini-tutorial on how to get this glittery look which was inspired by this card...if you want to stick around and check it out.

Otherwise, it's time to hop on over to Jen's Blog and see what she has to share!

Here's how I did mine...

This step is a little hard to see on the photo but it says: Sprinkle a generous amount of glitter all over then lift up circle to reveal un-disturbed area for stamping." I wish I would've taken a picture of the blank circle space but you get the idea.
Thanks for stopping by!!!

Here's the Mojo Monday Sketch #378 if you'd like to play along...

Shake in the New Year - SOUS New Year Challenge...

It's my turn to post over at Stuck on U Sketches (SOUS)...Anything New Year is the challenge this week!

As some of you may know, New Year's Day isn't just a new year and another fail at remembering to write 2015...it's my baby's BIRTHDAY!!! My first baby...will be 20 :0( Cannot...believe...it!!!

I contemplated making a birthday card but chose to make a more traditional card...a shaker card with a little bling!

------------------------------------------------
The card shape  and wine glasses are from Lisa's Store (Pretty Paper Graphics)...and I can't remember where I picked up the clock face.

---------------------------------------------
Here's a close-up of the wine glasses...cut from a transparency sheet...
------------------------------------------------------
The HAPPY NEW YEAR was the Miss Kate Cuttables Freebie yesterday...I cut it apart and put the "New Year" on the inside...

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to link up your own New Year's project before the 9th of January! The ONLY rule we have is to use Die-Cuts!!!

Teacher Hand Santa-tizer gift...

I always have GRAND plans for teacher gifts each year but working full time doesn't always allow for it.

This gift came together quite easily with the help of Starbucks, Sonic, Bath & Body Works, CTMH and CDD Stamps!

-----------------------------------------------
Here are some close-ups...I colored this CUTE little Santa from CDD's November Freebie with CTMH ShinHan Markers and added some little red sparkles for the holly berries!
---------------------------------------------------------
Here's a peek at what's inside the box...a small bottle of "Hand Santa-tizer" from Bath & Body Works, a Starbucks gift card and a Sonic Gift card. Mrs. Higgins also got a jar candle in her favorite Cinnamon scent!
---------------------------------------------------
Here's a look at the envelope I hand-addressed....LOVE writing with Sharpies...I wish this world operated on Sharpies & Mechanical Pencils...lol
------------------------------------
The card came together VERY easily because it's one of CTMH's Cut Above Christmas Card Kit...everything was already pre-cut for me...all I did was add the stamp and the sequins!
Thanks for stopping by.

I hope each and every one of you are enjoying your Christmas preparations!

Christmas Mug Gift Card Holders...

It's my turn to post over at Stuck on U Sketches...and the Die-Cut challenge this go-round is Anything Christmas!

Some call it lazy but I call it GENIUS...giving Gift Cards for Christmas! I'm surrounded by those people (friends and family alike) who are very difficult to buy for. They are either too picky to please or when they want something, they simply go out and buy it. So buying them something that they will have to go return or will never use is not an option for me!

All my friends LOVE Starbucks and what better way to package a Starbucks gift card than a coffee mug!

 -----------------------------------------
I jazzed up the mug by stamping one of the border stamps from Assorted Edges. I then added some red sequins from my stash for a little sparkle. Adding the bow and the first initial of the recipient finished it off. And not sure if you can tell or not, but I added Liquid Glass to the coffee to make it look real!

Thanks for stopping by...don't forget to link up your own Christmas Die-Cut project on the SOUS Blog!

Deck the Halls with Frosty and PPPR...

Welcome to this month's Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon Blog Hop! If you've come from Kathy's Blog, you're on the right track! If you are starting here, you might want to go back to the PPPR Blog to start from the beginning...there will also be a link at the end of this post to the PPPR Blog so you'll be able to go back through if you'd like.

This month's theme is Deck the Halls and we will be showcasing a bunch of Christmas-themed files from Lisa's Shop.

From the moment I saw Lisa's 3D Pumpkin Gift Boxes, I knew I'd be stacking them to make a snowman (that's what I do with my REAL pumpkins after Thanksgiving...paint them white, stack them and add mittens, beanie, buttons, etc.).

Can I introduce you to....FROSTY!!! He even has a little friend perched on his tree branch arm!

------------------------------------------------
I made the smallest pumpkin's lid black instead of white so it would resemble his top hat...he stands about 18" tall

------------------------------------------------
I glued each lid to the bottom of the smaller pumpkin for a little bit of stability...his eyes are buttons covered with chunky MS glitter from a few years ago. The scarf is from Let It Snow Cutting Files.

------------------------------------------------
His carrot nose is from Lisa's Seed Packet Cutting File and I just cut several of the same carrot and glued them together...I've included instructions on how to attach below.
------------------------------------------------
The arms and the Cardinal are from Lisa's Winter Cardinal Cutting Files...instructions for attaching the arms are written on the photo below...

Thanks for stopping by...this should be your last stop! If you started here, go back to the PPPR Blog and start from the beginning!

Don't go yet....you have to hear about the GOODIES you can get!!! Make sure you visit each blog AND leave a comment and you could WIN A $15 GIFT CERTIFICATE to Lisa's Shop!!! You must also FOLLOW EACH BLOG along the way!

For extra changes to win, make sure you "LIKE" Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons on and/or sign up for the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Newsletter. A random winner will be chosen for the prize on Tuesday, December 16.

This hop's FREEBIE is available 'till Sunday night and it's CUTE!!! Christmas Costume Kids...

ALSO...the FREEBIE this week is ADORABLE!

Here are the files I used...direct links to them can be found above as I mentioned them...

Nativity Play Set - DTC #90...

Welcome to the DTC (Decorate to Celebrate) #90 - Anything Goes Challenge...

With Christmas decorations out and a 2-year old in the house, she is naturally drawn to the most valuable (sentimentally) and fragile things in my house! One of them is a Nativity Set that belonged to my late Me-Me.

Soooo....to give her something to play with, I made her one made from paper...and it comes in a handy little box (even though the box was put aside and they were all tucked in several purses here and there...lol. But...she's 2...an older child would probably LOVE the box...I keep telling myself!)

--------------------------------------------------------
I used several files from PPPR and all paper is from CTMH...Nativity 1, Nativity 2 and the Wise Men Title for the box (it's FREE 'till Thursday so hurry on over and get it!)

----------------------------------------------------
Mary & Joseph...
-----------------------------------------------------------
One of the Wise Men/Kings and the Angel in the background...I realize my baby Jesus should've been a little smaller but since he is VERY IMPORTANT in my life, I decided to make him quite BIG!
------------------------------------------
To get them where they would stand up easily, I made them 3D by creating a second file that just had the base, as shown below on my Cricut Design Space screen...
------------------------------------------------
Here's a look at their 3D-ness...can you see that back layer? All that separates them is a 1/2" strip of cardstock, scored and folded to create a box between the layers.
---------------------------------------------
And....they lay somewhat flat for easy storage in the cute little box! Can you see that strip of cardstock in between the layers...
--------------------------------------------
There is also a Shepherd and a sheep, donkey and camel (I see some HUMP DAY projects coming soon with that one!!!)...isn't this sheep the CUTEST!!!
-------------------------------------------------------
Here are the files I used (links to the files are above)...

This one is FREE 'till Friday so hurry and go get it...

Thanks for stopping by...don't forget to go over to the DTC Blog and check out the other projects and link up your own 3D project...anything goes this week!
