Color Me Happy H2H Challenge...

This week's challenge over at H2H Challenges is "Color Me Happy"....

 

So, what is the challenge all about?  What color(s) make you happy?  Show them off in a special project this week.  Since this is our last challenge of the month, you only have until the 30th to submit your entries for any of the June challenges.

 

Here's a color combo that makes me HAPPY!!!  I got it from my Color Combos Pinterest Board - you can head over there to see the original link and follow my board while you're there!

And...here's the card I made using CTMH Markers (the retired ones), some Polka-Dot Washi Tape, some Sparkles, Opaques & Cranberry Brads (Retired).  I also used the A TRUE THANK YOU that I bought for only $2.95 with ALL PROFITS going to Oklahoma for their relief efforts!  This card was so easy, I almost felt guilty sharing it...lol

H2H Photo Inspiration Challenge...

This week over at H2H Challenges, we're giving you an inspiration photo to copy.  You can choose color, layout, feel...anything your little heart desires!

 

I found inspiration in the "vintage" feel and the colors...

Here's the photo...

I used a clear card (CTMH retired) and Clementine Paper Packet for the vintage feel....I added some two-tone twine from the Mini-Medley Accents Wooden Collection and Brown & Tan Sparkles Assortment.  This card also has some Dakota and Avonlea Paper Packets as well. This card is intended for someone who doesn't need to be reminded that God is in control but I think she will love it anyway!   

 

I LOVE clear cards because it allows you to decorate the front and the inside (which if you're a loyal reader of my blog, you know I always decorate the inside!) with a bunch of dimension added...

Can you tell what paper is just on the front and which one is peeking through from the inside....Here's a hint!  Hate that the color of the two photos below are a little off...might try to retake them later in the week.

My cousin, Colby, had the opportunity to interview the cast of Fast and Furious 6 in London!  I can't believe how cool, calm & collected he is...I would be totally star struck!

Creature Feature Challenge with H2H...

This week over at H2H Challenges, we're featuring CREATURES!!!  Sounds like something out of a horror movie, but I assure you it's not...as you can see from my card, I made it all about CUTE CREATURES!

 

 

My "creature" is from the stamp set A Bowwow and it's only $6.95...can you believe that?!?!  You get all of this!

 

Here are some detail shots...I stamped the little Schnauzer on some B&T from the Claire Paper Packet and again on some Dream Pop B&T for his collar. I'm telling you if you haven't ordered your Dream Pop yet, you'd better hurry 'cause it's GOING FAST!!! I used a Sparkle from the Brown & Tan Sparkle Assortment for his eye and pop dotted him for some dimension.

I also used some Glitter Cardstock - ONE BIG TIP...if you are adhering something on top, I would use some very strong adhesive like Liquid Glass or red-line tape.  In this case I pop dotted it using 3D Foam Tape - I always cut out the center of any cardstock or B&T that is hidden (you can see what I'm talking about ***here***) so it was easy to pop-dot it!  I stuck on some Keyboard Kraft Alphabet stickers then used my sewing machine to add some zig-zag stitching...
