Because both the stamp and block are clear, it’s possible to see exactly where the stamped image will be on the project. Along with simplifying your crafting, the fact that our stamps are clear and unmounted also cuts down on required storage space. Each stamp set comes on a plastic carrier sheet in a specialized envelope. Even after years of use, your stamps can still be stored on the same carrier sheets and in the same envelopes they arrived in!

Because these dies are designed in conjunction with specific stamp sets, they perfectly cut the outlines of stamped images for a polished end result without the need for delicate hand trimming. Generational Stamping Technique on Cards!

Did you know that all of our cardmaking workshops  include at least one papercrafting technique? Before committing to purchasing any of our workshop kits, you can see what the featured technique in the workshop is right on our website, in the product’s description:

At the top of each cardmaking workshop guide, you will find the technique featured in the workshop’s artwork. For example, the In Full Bloom cardmaking workshop features second- and third-generation stamping.

As you dive into the guides a bit further, you will find that the featured techniques are spelled out in clear and simple terms to make the crafting experience as user friendly as possible, for even the newest of crafters!

Today, we’re pulling the technique right out of the In Full Bloom cardmaking workshop guide and sharing it, here!

So, what is “generational stamping?” For starters, it is a simple technique to master, and one that can easily elevate your artwork when you use it creatively. (Yay! )

A first-generation image is achieved with basic stamping. You ink the stamp and then stamp it on your project. A second-generation image is what you get when you stamp that same image again, using the same stamp but without re-inking it in between uses. A third-generation image, as you have probably figured out, is the resulting image of when you stamp a third time with that same stamp, without re-inking. Every generational image is a lighter version of the previous version because you are stamping with less ink each time.

If you want to use a second or third generation image on a project but not a first, then simply stamp the first image on a scratch piece of paper and then stamp on your project.

The butterfly in the card above was stamped using this generational stamping technique and then colored in with a marker, using a little less color with every later generation.

I have a few FAVORITES from the NSD Specials and the Good Vibes is one of them! I love the colors, the icons, the patterns AND that I can buy multiple kits to stock up on that GROOVY Paper and Sticker Sheet without having to worry about having an extra stamp set I don't need.

I chose to make an 8-1/2 x 11 layout (I know...totally unusual for me) using a 12x12 sketch from Bella Blvd. Here's a look...

Our son's shirt was a perfect resting place for this title which came from the sticker sheet. And those 'splatters' are from my FAVORITE stamp set Perfectly Imperfect Patterns...if I had a dollar for every time I used this set, it would've paid for itself 10 times over...lol

This CUTE little clipboard is also from the Good Vibes Sticker Sheet as is the Glacier sub-title "Make Today Count" sticker. Those little doodle dots all around the patterned paper is from the Perfectly Imperfect Patterns stamp set. Oh...and the wood flowers also come with the Good Vibes Scrapbooking Kit...a win-win

April Technique Hop - Layered Flowers...

Welcome to this month's Technique Blog Hop featuring LAYERED FLOWERS! We have a tight knit little group being featured this month so it won't take you long to hop around and be INSPIRED!

If you're coming my very good friend and CTMH Upline, Melissa Robinson, you're on the right track...keep on hopping around until you get back to where you started. If you're starting here, WELCOME! 

Let's take a look at the little card I made using SEVERAL products. I started out with the cutting a bunch of the Layered Flowers Thin Cuts all in White Daisy Cardstock (#1 it's fast and #2 the possibilities are ENDLESS with white). I then colored them using my Mini-Blending Tools in Wild Berry, Sundance, and Avocado Ink. The flowers that appear to have a pattern on them were also stamped with images from the Perfectly Imperfect Patterns Stamp Set (ONE OF MY FAVES)...

The flowers aren't only layered but some have Thin 3D Foam Tape Circles separating the layers for dimension. I used the Sending Hug Thin Cut for the outside sentiment and kept the insides of the letters for impact. The card panel is stamped using the Barn Door Stamp using Toffee Ink and I also sponged Toffee Ink around the edges. The sentiment and flowers are backed with a Stitched Fancy Bracket Thin Cut and topped off with Wild Berry Loose Sequins...

I brought the Barn Door and Layered Flowers to the inside with a little bottom border of sorts and finished it off with a simple sentiment from the For All Occasions Stamp Set...
