Dazzling Dimension - Technique Blog Hop...

Welcome to this months TECHNIQUE BLOG HOP featuring DAZZLING DIMENSION. We have a small but powerful group tonight with only twelve CTMH Makers.

If you've come from Wendy's Blog, you're on the right track...keep hopping around until you get back to where you started. If you're starting here, WELCOME! If you get lost along the way, you can always visit Melissa's Blog to find a complete list of blogs.

There are TONS of ways to add DAZZLING DIMENSION so I wanted to touch on a few.

I used the Lovely Borders Stamp Set + Thin Cuts for my card so my tips will be in reference to this particular stamp set..

My first TIP is to cut multiple borders so they can be glued together (yes, you could get this same 'look' by using 3D Foam Tape but this is more of a solid look)

My second TIP is to add sponging around you focal piece using a coordinating color - this can be done on ALL LAYERS or just the top layer...

Next you want to add shading on your project UNDER where your focal piece will go. I used Pebble but I also suggest Linen and Mink...

My next TIP is to use our Tri-Blend Markers. Each marker comes with 3 gradations of colors from light to dark. The shading that these makers can do (AND I AM NO MASTER COLORER) adds so much dimension to your images...

That rounds up my tips for DAZZLING DIMENSION...here's a look at my card

Here's a closeup - I added a final touch of DAZZLE and DIMENSION by using the same Tri-Blend Markers to color some clear sparkles for my flower centers! The HELLO is from April's SOTM - Scandinavian Folk Art Greetings (only available during the month of April). Look at that dimension from the stacked thin cuts, the Pebble Shading and the coloring!

Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by!

Don't forget to head on over to Kim's Blog and see what she has to DAZZLE you with!
