Now...let's get started! Here's what the stamp set looks like....cute, huh!
Here's what I did with it....I used Mayberry Paper Packet because it just seems so "country" to me and there's something about a bunch of little bunnies that screams wheat fields and old barns....
My first card is a 5x5...you know how I love me some square cards! I paper-pieced her dress and apron and used our Watercolor Pencils and Blending Pen to color her fur.
----------------------------
I stamped some of the eggs and covered the present Ms. Bunnie was holding....I also threaded some super thin strips of the Smoothie B&T thru the tiny button holes. These buttons are some of our NEW FABULOUS buttons...from the Basic Assortment
------------------------
I kept the inside simple since the front is so colorful....
------------------------------
Here's my second card and possibly my favorite of the two just because this little guy is so ADORABLE and our NEW Kraft Cardstock is something I've been wanting CTMH to carry for FOREVER!!! It's a standard-size card and is perfect for your Easter wishes or just because! I paper-pieced his shirt and colored him just the same as his mammy!
-----------------------------
I random stamped him for some background noise....I used Bamboo Ink so it would be subtle...
-----------------------------
How 'bout those carrots and those cute little buttons...again, from our Basic Assortment! I stitched them with Colonial White Embroidery Floss
-----------------------------
Here's how I did the carrots....I stamped the image...
----------------------------
Using Watercolor Pencils, I shaded the carrots (to include that little bunny's nose), the bunny's sleeve and the greens....
-------------------------
Took my Blending Pen and blended....then cut out and ignored that the carrot on the right is actually a nose and that the brown burlap looking stuff is actually a sleeve...lol
-------------------------
Here they are side by side so you know I'm not lying...can you see the little guys nose behind my Colonial White Embroidery Floss????
-------------------------
Again...I kept the inside simple...stamped using Desert Sand
----------------------------
Thanks for hopping on by...

ReplyDeleteLove the bunch of carrots idea...so clever! Now...I can see that bunch of carrots put in Mama's hands, the single bunny's hands...and used in so many other ways. Great way to think outside the box. Or wait...is it INK outside the lines...LOL. GREAT job!
ReplyDeleteperfect cards, Katy. Fantastic work, as always!
ReplyDeletelove the carrots! I totally didn't notice the bunny nose until you showed the close up pics. I am always reluctant to do anything like that because it would be so glaringly obvious to me. Maybe I will try it now. thanks.
