Washi goodness...
This hop is all about WASHI tape...and CTMH has some fabulous patterns and colors.
If you've come from Pamela's Blog, you're on the right track...keep on hopping around 'till you get back to where you started! If you get lost along the way, you can always see the full list of participants {{{here}}} and pick up where you left off.
I chose to do the obvious...a washi border along the side...the card says "happy" on the front. It's the left overs from this card...it's hard to see because of all the white.
-----------------------------
Here's a side view and a peek at the inside where I used more washi...you can also see the "happy" a little better from this angle.
-------------------------------
and a closeup of the cake that I used washi for the layers...the stamp is Belated Birthday and has become one of my favorites!
You can see more of my WASHI artwork {{{here}}}...

H2H Color Challenge...
This week over at H2H Challenges, we are challenging you to use two colors...Lagoon & Sweet Leaf. Both of these colors can be found in CTMH's Skylark Paper Packet which is what I used here. I also made one of Skylark's PML Cards the focal point...LOVE that you get 2 of each of the 4x6 cards! I tend to hoard collect my CTMH supplies and this makes it easy for me to use one and hoard collect the other...lol.
This card measures 5x7 so it could accommodate the 4x6 PML card...
---------------------------------------------
I used Chocolate Cardstock for the base of the card so the PML card would POP against the dark background. I pop-dotted the 4x6 card using 3D-Foam Tape
------------------------------------------
And here's a peek at the inside...I used one of the smaller 2x3 PML cards for the inside...you get 3 of each of the 2x3 designs!!!
I hope you feel inspired to play along with this week's color challenge! Remember...you have 'till the end of the month to do so!
Don't forget to check out the other Design Team Members and their blogs to see what Lagoon and Sweet Leaf inspired them to make!

Happy 14th Birthday - Basketball Style...
My son's birthday was a few weeks ago and he is a basketball FANATIC!!!
I set out to make him a card he would LOVE...it's a square card that measures 4-1/2 x 4-1/2. The basketball was cut using CMTH Artbooking Cricut Collection...I sized the ball larger than the 4-1/2" so that I could cut off the edges...this left some piecing for me to do but aside from one little mis-allignment, it all went well.

I used my favorite Retired Paper Later Sk8r (which we now have in PML!!!!!) to cover the Star Dimensional Element and inked up the 14 using black ink the Color Ready Cork Alphabet (also retired). I also used True To Life stamp set for the "AWESOME"...
-------------------------------------
The Sunset Cardstock was embossed with the NEW Polka Dot Embossing Folder and then inked with Sunset Ink - I love how the raised dots added to the true basketball feel.
