A FREE Card Pattern, No Occasion Required with CTMH...

shared from ctmh's blog

A FREE Card Pattern, No Occasion Required!

A handmade, heartfelt card can brighten anyone’s day no matter the occasion (or lack thereof 😉) and we’ve got three for you today, all made from the same pattern!

Making its original debut in our Laughing Lola Workshops on the Go® cardmaking guide years ago, we paired this timeless pattern with several different paper designs and stamp sets to create multiple unique cards, each with their own distinct look and flair!

The beautiful fall-themed card, above, was made using the Mix-in paper packet (from our November–December catalog) and the Months of the Year—November stamp set. Below, we took a more festive approach with our Deck the Palms patterned papers and Wonderland—Cardmaking stamp and Thin Cuts.

For our last card, we paired the flat pattern with the Candid Moments paper packet and Cardmaking stamp and Thin Cuts to create an “any occasion,” “any time,” card that will still dazzle its recipient. This card uses the same flat pattern as the previous two, we just changed it up a bit by rotated it 90 degrees!

With most card patterns, it’s possible to get an entirely different look simply by rotating them. When you throw different paper designs and color palettes in the mix, the possibilities for creativity increase exponentially!

Cards made from this Laughing Lola pattern are incredibly easy to put together, come together quickly, and still look great! Not only is this card pattern easy to put together and customize, but it’s also a great pattern to use if you’re looking to make a lot of cards in one sitting.

Download the pattern, here.

Nov-Dec 2021 Catalog Blog Hop...

Thank you for joining us on this lovely Thursday evening. We have a LOT of NEW Product to show you from the Nov-Dec 2021 Catalog from CTMH.

If you are coming here from Show and Tell with Michelle, you're on the right track! Keep hopping around until you've seen all nine CTMH Makers. If you're starting here, WELCOME!

If you know me and my family then you could've guessed that I would be using Candid Moments since my babies are featured on Page 9 of the Nov-Dec Catalog. In fact...I made that layout (tweaked just a bit) and also used the Candid Moments Scrapbooking Workshop Kit to make three more two-page layouts to feature more photos from our beach trip a couple of years ago.

and...here are the layouts from the Candid Moments Scrapbooking Kit (tweaked a little as well)...if you love the patterned paper I used for the Layout base on this one, it's an EXCLUSIVE to the Candid Moments Scrapbooking Workshop Kit (that's one of the reasons I always buy the kits - to get the EXCLUSIVES...lol)

-----------------------------------------------------------
This layout is pretty much from the Workshop Kit except I chose to do the circles a little different...I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that ombre patterned paper.
-----------------------------------------------------------
This layout was inspired by a fellow-Maker Brenda Rose - I love the circle stencil from Stencil Pack 2 in the top left and bottom right. I also added some Sundance Shimmer Brush splatters to add some shimmer and shine to this layout.

Thank you so much for stopping by! You will now head on over the Haley Dyer, the Inky Scrapper Blog to see what NEW PRODUCT she is sharing!

Remember that this catalog is good through the end of December and we've been selling out of fan-favorites lately so hurry and grab what you want before it's all gone!

Silver and Gold Technique Blog Hop...

Thank you for visiting my blog on this GLORIOUS Monday evening...the Monday before the Monday before Thanksgiving to be exact.

I am last on the list so if you're coming from Tamara Sandwisch's Blog, you're on the right track AND you're almost done if you started from the beginning. Don't worry if you didn't, this order will take you all around until you get back to where you started. If you're starting here, WELCOME! A complete list of hoppers can be found on Melissa's Blog

So...I took this challenge as I could choose between Silver & Gold so I chose to use our Silver Foil Patterns Paper (online only) coupled with the wintery Wonderland Collection...

------------------------------------------------
Here is a closeup of that SILVER FOIL PATTERN...it adds that extra SHINE to this layout!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you see those tiny Snowflake Loose Sequins and those snowflakes from the Wonderland Sticker Sheet and Wonderland Scrapbooking Stamp Set...LOVE all the layers and dimension (even that snow flurry at the top right of the photo)...
-----------------------------------------------
I added a felt tree from the Wonderland Felt Shapes on top of the stamped tree/title combo from the Wonderland Scrapbooking Stamp Set...

Thanks for stopping by...head on over to Melissa's Blog to continue the hop if you started somewhere in the middle.

You can check out the process video for this layout and watch how I added color to the Silver Foil Patten Paper...

Happy National Vanilla Cupcake Day...

Let's celebrate National Vanilla Cupcake Day with a CALORIE-FREE cupcake that is SUPER CUTE!
...
We have the CUTEST new Thin Cut that can be found in the Core Catalog...Cupcake Card Thin Cut...AND since it's in the Core Catalog, that means it's around for longer than 2 months (hoping it won't sell out and it will make it all the way around the calendar until August 2022)...

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's a closeup of that Mocha Glitter Paper I used for the frosting and the Shimmer Trim I used for the sprinkles (if you're wondering an easy way to do that, my process video can be found below)...
--------------------------------------------------------
Don't you just LOVE all the dimension in the cupcake wrapper - I used the Mix-Ins (Nov-Dec) and the light side of Papaya Cardstock for the 'ridges'...let me tell you - our NEW Adhesive Sheets made this SUPER EASY to adhere down (watch my YouTube video below to see how it's done)...
----------------------------------------------------------------
And of course, I had to finish off the inside with more sentiments from the For All Occasions stamp set...

Thank you for stopping by!

I hope you'll go enjoy the "real thing" today - after all, you have an EXCUSE!

Holiday Cards Blog Hop...

***CHRISTMAS IS FIFTY DAYS AWAY***

Can you guys believe that!?!? Well, if you haven't already started your Christmas cards, let us help! I am joining eleven other CTMH Makers to bring you a blog hop featuring Holiday Cards. If you've come from Stefani's Blog, you're on the right track...keep hopping around until you get back to where you started. If you're starting here, WELCOME!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I love the natural feel adding some jute from my stash gives this card. As far as the pops of red from the Patterned Paper - you can see I used zip strips then strategically cut strips from the word B&T and adhered to the back of the open slits I wanted the words to show through...

Thanks for stopping by! This is the end of the hop but if you started somewhere in the middle, you'll want to continue on to the CatScrapbooking Blog to see them all.

Created to Shine SOTM Blog Hop...

Repeat after me...I CANNOT BELIEVE IT'S NOVEMBER...truly!

But...that means HOPEFULLY cooler weather (you're never promised that in Texas) and THIS ADORABLE SOTM from CTMH!

I am joining 10 other CTMH Makers to bring you ideas for the November SOTM - Created to Shine. If you're coming from my friend, Haley Dyer, the Inky Scrapper, you're on the right track. If you're starting here, WELCOME! You'll hop all the way around until you get back to where you started and if you get lost along the way, you can find a complete list at the bottom of this post.

I decided to play on the lightbulb aspect of this card and I pulled out my Distress Oxides to make a watercolor look for the lightbulb "lights"...

----------------------------------------------------
I used the packaging technique to apply the Distress Oxide colors to my front card panel (you can check out the process video below)...
----------------------------------------------------------
And then OF COURSE I had to finish off the inside of the card with that ADORABLE heart border that is also a part of the SOTM...
