Let's Get Geometrical Technique Blog Hop...

I am SO EXCITED about his month's Technique Blog Hop...thank you for joining us! The topic is LET'S GET GEOMETRICAL and I can't wait for you all to see what we have to share!

If you've come from my good friend (and upline's) blog, Melissa Robinson, you're on the right track...keep on hopping around until you get back to where you started. If you're starting here, WELCOME!

When this topic came up, I knew exactly what I would be doing. I've made a couple of shaped layouts in the past and while they aren't something I would want to do very often, they are SUPER FUN to make AND to look at when you're flipping through scrapbooks! Today's layout plays on the geometrical challenge as well as the Sweet As Honey collection I chose to use!

I decided to use Sweet As Honey to document more of our trip to see our oldest son in Virginia. I used a BUNCH of stuff for this layout but it all seems to mesh perfectly...even the Here & Now Stamp Set that I brought in...

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Here are some closeups of the clusters of Distress Oxide Stenciled Hexagons, Black Reinker Splatters, Cork Shapes, Stickers and Black Enamel Dots...I love all the different textures and dimension that they all give to the layout...

------------------------------------------------------------
Aren't those bees from the Sweet as Honey Cardmaking Stamp Set CUTE...

Thank you so much for stopping by! If you'd like to watch this layout come together, scroll down to see the process video on my YouTube Channel.

Your next stop in the LET'S GET GEOMETRICAL TECHNIQUE BLOG HOP is Brandi...head on over and see what she has to share! If you get lost along the way, head on over to Melissa's Blog for a complete list of CTMH Makers who are playing along!

Don't forget to come back here to watch my YouTube Process Video showing a SUPER EASY way to make that hexagon layout base!

Smitten Blog Hop...

HAPPY FIRST FRIDAY of 2022 and I cannot believe it's almost been a WHOLE WEEK in this year. It's going by so fast!

I am joining six other CTMH Makers to bring you some projects inspired by this month's SMITTEN Special! If you're coming from Kim's Blog, you're on the right track...keep hopping around until you get back to where you started. If you're starting here, WELCOME!

CTMH has included so many ADORABLE PROJECTS with this Kit (and I will definitely be recreating those) but tonight I wanted to showcase a simple standard-size card.

I added a bracket from the Stitched Bracket Thin Cuts and some Pink Mini Hearts to add some bling (bling doesn't always have to be shiny...lol). I also chose an non-traditional color scheme for the CUTE little bee (Ice Blue, Bright Pink Shades, and Citrus Blend Tri-Blend Markers). The little bee's wings have some Clear Shimmer Brush over the Citrus Blend marker. I also tried to lighten the bold black stripes of the bee by using a white gel pen to add some doodling lines...

--------------------------------------------------------------------
For the inside of the card, I used some patterned paper, being sure to include some of the lemonade hearts from the pattern to bring the yellow color to the inside of the card...

Thanks for stopping by! Head on over to Gina's Blog to see what she has to share. Don't forget to leave some love along the way (we LOVE reading your comments) and don't forget to head on over to my website to grab your kit!
