I chose the latter and decided to do a card...
---------------------------------------------
I used Cocoa Cardstock of course and the Artiste Cricut Cartridge to cut all those flowers - the Cricut makes it Super Easy!!! I threw in some Scholastic and Clementine B&T papers down at the bottom for some color...and the stamp set is one of the THREE that you GET WITH the Artiste Cartridge!
------------------------------
And...the centers of all those flowers are done by using Mocha Opaques...
---------------------------------------
Want to hear a tip for using our white-core cardstock with the Cricut and cutting tiny little images...take the same color marker (that's what ROCKS about CTMH, our markers match our Exclusive Colors) - I used one of our retired Cocoa markers - and color around every edge. For bigger pieces of cardstock you can use a sponge and your ink pad but these little bitty nooks and crannies are best done with a marker! It also makes the tone-on-tone pop a little more!
CTMH's Cocoa has to be one of my all-time FAVORITE colors...we did our wedding with Cocoa, it's definitely the first brown that I pull (even more than Kraft!).
Now it's time for you to play! Create your project...either using CTMH's Exclusive Color, Cocoa, or make something with hot chocolate, cocoa, etc.! Don't forget to link back over to the H2H Blog before Sunday!
Have FUN!!!
I love this card, Katy! It is so pretty! You have more patience than me when it comes to adding all that tiny bling. It looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteKaty, this is such a beautiful card. The use of diecut image as a faux embossing and the bling finishes off the card beautifully.
ReplyDeleteLove how you made your background with the cricut cuts!
ReplyDeleteThe opaques as flower centers are pure genius! I love the tone-on-tone effect too.
