I seriously cannot believe it's already April...not only does that mean:

• There are only 2 months of school left for my kiddos...
• There are only 2 months 'till Little Miss Baby Taylor arrives...
• There's only a week 'till Easter is here...
• AND...it's time to hop around through 50 Consultants' blogs and see what CUTE and ADORABLE things they've created using this month's SOTM - You Are....

If you've come from the blog of the very talented Melissa Laverty, you're on the right track...

Here's what the stamp set looks like all pretty and new...

Here's what I've done with it....a 5"x7" card using the colors (Grey Wool, Sorbet, Sunset, Lagoon, Creme Brulee, Sweet Leaf and White Daisy) from the upcoming NSMonth Dotty for You paper (more details coming SOON!!!)...

The banners on the front are cut using the A/P Cartridge - Card Feature of image found on pg 68 and the size dial set to 1".  This measurement is the only way I could get the banners long enough for me to stamp the Cool, Fun and Amazing but it was still a little too wide for me so after I cut them in the Cricut, I put them in the paper trimmer and trimmed 1/8" off of each side thus making the finished size 3/4"...if you are like me and want just enough cardstock on the Cruicut mat to cut out the image, trim your paper to 1-1/2" x 7" and that should do the trick!!!  The White Daisy focal points were cut using the image found on pg 47 and the size dial set to 4-1/4" and another cut at 4-3/4".

here's the inside...

I used the same image as found on the front just cut to a size 6-1/2" then lined up some scratch pieces of Lagoon and Creme Brulee, adhered them to the bottom and cut around the shape.  I could have done this process with the A/P Cartridge as well but I had these scraps laying around from the banners and they were a perfect fit!

Victory Layouts...

This weekend my monthly scrapbooking club worked on layouts using the NEW Victory Paper Packet.  This paper packet is PERFECT for any outdoor activity as well as any pictures of adventurous boys...which I have 3! 

We always do at least two 2-page layouts and below are pictures of just one set as I still need to add a title to the other set of two.  I got the idea for my sketch here...

Welcome to March's SOTM Blog Hop using the stamp set "Potential"...here's a look at the images.

One of my favorite things about today's technology is that inspriation is boundless...where you used to have to subscribe to multiple magazine subscriptions, save the magazines, turn down the pages (or rip them out if you were brave...lol) and keep all the things you liked in mounds and mounds of clutter, you now can subscribe to blogs, join Pinterest (which is by far my FAVORITE go-to site for anything and everything) and even catch a few things here and there on Facebook. 

This card came directly from a blog I follow and here is the card I gained so much inspiration from....

Here's what I've done with this stamp set...a 5x7 card using Stella Paper Packet...

Here's a closer look at the embossing...

Like in my inspiration piece, I used the longest 'swirly' image to create the tone-on-tone black border at the bottom...I stamped in Archival Black Ink (I like that it's a richer black ink), then stamped again using Versa Mark and used clear embossing powder on top to give it some shine (hard to tell in this photo).  You could have also used Black Embossing Powder but I'm out so this method works just as well PLUS you can emboss any color this way without having tons of embossing powders lying around.  I then sponged regular Black Ink all over the embossed image as well as the Sorbet B&T in the background.

Another month has passed so that means it's time for another SOTM Blog Hop...this time with the NEW Spring/Summer Idea Book!!!!  And...let me tell you that it was GREAT to finally get back in my scrapbook room and create!  This big belly of mine is zapping all the energy out of me...not sure if it's because this go 'round I'm older or if it's because she's a girl but I'm definitely needing a little "me time" with a boost of energy and this Blog Hop did just that (if only for a couple of hours...lol).

Here's a glimpse of what the stamp set looks like...it has quite a few shapes that can be cut using the A/P Cartridge which is always nice!

Here's a side view showing the dimension...I used the A/P Cricut Cartridge to cut my sentiment oval and used the Banners Dimensional Elements that you get with the A/P Cartridge for the red 'ribbon'...
